This exceptional site, a veritable transition zone between the forest and the Bay of Arcachon, is home to remarkable biodiversity, which your guide will help you to observe and understand.

Along the way, you’ll explore the local fauna andavifauna, from migratory birds to sedentary species, as well as the characteristic plants of these wetlands.

Climb aboard one- or two-seater canoes for a timeless trip down the Leyre. This wild river, nicknamed the ” Little Amazon “, plunges you into an unspoilt natural setting where water and vegetation come together to create a peaceful and mysterious atmosphere.

  • How many participants?

    There are many ways to discover the Leyre Delta.

    On foot, the coastal path is open to a maximum of 20 people per guide. In a single-seater or double-seater canoe, the delta can be explored by 6 people or more (please note that this activity is not supervised), while the (guided) group canoe trip can accommodate up to 15 people per boat.

  • How long will it take?

    Activities at the Leyre Delta offer full immersion for around 2 hours. Whether on foot along the coastal path or by canoe, in individual or group boats, each experience allows you to discover this exceptional site at a pace that’s both enjoyable and suited to groups.
