The Gujan-Mestras Tourist Office only promotes classified or label-approved furnished accommodation.

National ranking

Since January 4, 2021, the Gujan-Mestras Tourist Office has been authorized to carry out classification visits for furnished tourist accommodation.

What are the advantages of classification?

A tax allowance of 50%, compared with 30% for unclassified furnished accommodation.
Enhanced quality of accommodation thanks to a recognized classification.
Membership of the Association Nationale des Chèques Vacances (National Holiday Vouchers Association).

What are the objectives?

Improve and modernize the quality of the accommodation on offer
Indicate to customers a certain level of comfort, facilities and services
Promote sustainable development initiatives
Strengthen the legitimacy of the classification in the eyes of international tourist clientele.

The Comité Départemental du Tourisme also carries out classification visits in Gironde, as do other accredited organizations. They are listed on theAtout France website.

The ” Naturellement Bassin ” brand distinguishes accommodations and service providers who wish to highlight the fact that they are part of the Arcachon Basin, and develop a welcome that reflects this.

Step 2

The coordinator organizes an inspection visit to check that the establishment complies with the quality standards.

Step 3

Authorization to use the mark for 3 years if the Accueil Vélo criteria are met.

Step 4

Signature of the “Accueil Vélo” commitment and payment of 200 euros for 3 years to the evaluating organization.

Other labels

There are manyother labels in France for tourist accommodations, each with its own criteria and objectives, particularly when it comes to sustainability.

The main ones are Gîtes de France, Clévacances, la Clef Verte and Tourisme et Handicap.

There are also labels for tourism service providers, such as Accueil Vélo, Destination d’Excellence and Tourisme et Handicap.
